Scholarships

Daybreak Rotary Club awards at least one area high school senior a four-year University  $5,000 scholarship payable $625 per semester and, beginning in 2021, awards at least one $1,000 vocational-technical scholarship.  The exact number of scholarships awarded may vary from year to year.

The selection committee of Daybreak Rotary awards the scholarship on several criteria. Each criterion is equally weighted in the selection process. The criteria are academic, need, activities, personal and work.

The selected students receiving University scholarships are expected to maintain a 3.0-grade point overall and enroll in at least 12 hours per semester. The students’ enrollment is expected to be continuous, excluding summer semesters. The recipients must send a copy of their grades to Daybreak Rotary no later than January 15 or June 15 of each semester to continue to receive their award.
