International Projects

International Projects 2006-2007

Ongoing:
Support of District 6110's Medical Supplies Network

Daybreak Rotary Foundation's "International Education Fund", to support international education and literacy around the world and provide scholarships and funds for eligible students and organizations to further the goals of Rotary International. 2005 1st Annual Fund Raiser "Jungle Fever" raised over $18,000 for our International Education Fund.

Newly Supporting; Daybreak Rotary and Bartlesville (Noon) Rotary are co-operating on bringing hygienic human & animal waste disposal to India in the form of mobile, custom-built gas incinerators. These units will also help reduce the ground water pollution, so this project is very fitting during a Rotary year with an emphasis on water projects around the world. District 6110 grants, combined with both Clubs' contributions, have made this $45,000+ project happen.

Daybreak contributed to the District 6110's Nicaragua well-drilling project. Bristow-based Mikey Moore volunteers his time to drill wells during his 'slow season' in January. Local clubs supply expenses, pipe and electrical supplies to bring water to villages in Nicaragua.
